The web services in Punjab, which have been suspended on Saturday because the police launched an operation to arrest Khalistani sympathiser Amritpal Singh and his aides, has now been prolonged till Monday noon.
“All cellular web services, all SMS services (besides banking & cellular recharge) & all dongle services supplied on cellular networks, besides the voice name, in the territorial jurisdiction of Punjab shall be suspended from nineteenth March (12:00 hours) to twentieth March (12:00 hours) in the curiosity of public security,” the federal government mentioned.
