NEW DELHI: The Australian gamers will wear black armbands as a mark of respect for captain Pat Cummins‘s deceased mother on day two of the fourth and remaining Test towards India on the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Cummins flew house after the second Test in Delhi to be along with his mother, Maria.
Cricket Australia tweeted: “We are deeply saddened on the passing of Maria Cummins in a single day.
“On behalf of Australian cricket, we lengthen our heartfelt condolences to Pat, the Cummins household, and their buddies. The Australian Men’s team will in the present day wear black armbands as a mark of respect.”

In Cummins’s absence, Steve Smith had led the team within the third Test in Indore and guided Australia to a nine-wicket victory after back-to-back defeats in Nagpur and Delhi.
Smith continues to lead the guests within the ongoing Ahmedabad Test.
