Preparations
for
a
seamless
and
secure
G20
Summit,
scheduled
for
September
9-10
in
the
national
capital,
are
in
full
swing.
To
ensure
the
safety
of
this
major
geopolitical
event,
the
Delhi
Police
has
issued
a
set
of
traffic
restrictions
that
will
be
in
effect
from
September
7
to
10.
Starting
after
midnight
on
September
7,
traffic
restrictions
will
be
enforced
at
the
Sirhaul
border,
remaining
in
place
until
midnight
on
September
10.
During
this
period,
heavy,
medium,
and
light
goods
vehicles
will
not
be
permitted
to
enter
Delhi
from
9
pm
today
until
midnight
on
Sunday.
As
per
a
notification
from
the
Delhi
government,
the
entire
district
will
be
designated
as
a
“Controlled
Zone”
from
Friday
morning
until
Sunday.
Only
legitimate
residents
and
authorized
vehicles,
including
those
engaged
in
essential
services
like
housekeeping,
catering,
waste
management
for
hotels
and
hospitals,
will
be
allowed
to
access
areas
such
as
India
Gate
and
C-Hexagon.

auto-rickshaws,

taxis
will
be
permitted

operate

a
work-from-home
advisory
to
corporate
and
private
institutions
for
September
8.
District
Magistrate
and
Deputy
Commissioner

stated,
“All
corporate
and
private
institutions
were
advised
to
instruct
their
employees
to
work
from
home
on
September
8
(Friday).”
