AMBALA: The Ambala police have lodged a case of dishonest after a person alleged that he was duped of Rs 10.70 lakh on the pretext a railway job offer for his son.
On the grievance of Ajmer Singh, a case was registered in opposition to one Asha Makkar and her husband Sunty at Ambala City police station on Tuesday.
“My son Praveen Kumar, a civil engineering diploma holder, is unemployed. In May 2020, I got here involved with Asha Makkar and her husband Sunty, who instructed me that they’ve good hyperlinks with ministers and officers and will assist us in offering authorities job to my son,” Ajmer Singh alleged in his grievance.
“The accused demanded Rs 11 lakh and stated that I must pay Rs 6 lakh upfront and the remaining needs to be paid as requested. They stated that your complete process would take about four-five months and they’re going to present a job in railways to my son by September 2020. From May 22, 2020 to July 15, 2020, we paid Rs 10,70,000 to the accused individuals,” alleged Ajmer.
He added that they failed to supply the job as promised by September 2020 and continued to delay the promise until January 15, 2021, once I together with my identified went to their house and demanded to return the cash.
“They gave us two cheques of Union Bank of India of Rs 3 lakh and Rs 7.70 lakh and each bought dishonoured. When we once more demanded the cash, they refused to return the identical and threatened to kill me if I went to police,” stated Ajmer.
