The family members of captured CRPF commando Rakeshwar Singh Manhas on Wednesday held a protest march in Jammu and blocked the freeway demanding his launch. They lashed out on the J&Okay administration and the Centre for not giving them any info since Saturday on Manhas.
“A jawan has been lacking since April 3, however the authorities has not taken any motion. We need the federal government to seek for a mediator in order that he will be launched,” the commando’s spouse Meenu Manhas instructed reporters. Manhas is a resident of Netra Kothi village on the outskirts of Jammu.
His family threatened to dam the Akhnoor highway in Jammu, if the federal government did not reply positively. “This authorities solely awakened once we got here out on the streets,” alleged Davinder, the commando’s brother.
Later, LG Manoj Sinha mentioned that the federal government would take all steps for the protected return of the CRPF constable.
