BHARUCH: Two workers died, 23 had been injured and 5 had been nonetheless lacking after a large fire erupted following an explosion at a chemical manufacturing unit in the Bharuch district of Gujarat on early Tuesday morning, police stated.
The incident came about at United Phosphorus Limited’s plant in Jhagadia GIDC industrial space, stated inspector P H Vasava of the native police station.
The fire began after a blast round 2 am, he stated.
While native sources stated it was a boiler blast, the police official didn’t specify and stated probe was on.
The manufacturing unit made chemical substances used in the pharmaceutical trade, sources stated.
